LSR Group enters the insulation market
15 November 2022
The specialists of LSR. Wall materials (part of LSR Group, the leading construction holding of the North-West region) started production of “LSR TERMO” aerated concrete insulation. Currently, this is the lightest and warmest aerated concrete produced in the North-West region.
The weight of one cubic meter of the material is about 200 kilograms. Unlike other popular densities of aerated concrete, “LSR TERMO” is designed for use as an insulation material. Installation is carried out without foundation support - from below the blocks are attached to a special metal structure, and then fixed with cement-sand adhesive. They can be used to insulate the walls of buildings made of brick, aerated concrete, large-format ceramic and other building materials.
"LSR TERMO” has no disadvantages of mineral-based insulators: it has high fire resistance, lightness, environmental friendliness and durability. In terms of its range of characteristics thermal insulation blocks have no analogues among modern insulations. Their use allows supporting the general trend towards energy conservation and efficiency.
The first 100 mm thick trial batch was successfully tested. The specialists confirmed the density of the blocks in the laboratory, and their heat transfer coefficient at 3% of humidity was 0.057 - these figures confirm the possibility of using "LSR TERMO" as an insulation material.
«We are confident in the great potential of the new product - says Alexander Mikhailov, Deputy CEO of LSR. Wall materials, - the insulation market is quite big, but none of the materials has such characteristics as "LSR TERMO". It is vapor-permeable, does not rot, does not founder, and has perfect geometry, which will save a lot of money when finishing facades».
The product can be bought directly from the company, as well as in retail stores of the building materials in St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Leningrad region. "LSR TERMO", in particular, is suitable for individual housing construction, providing homeowners with savings on heating in the winter season. The material is produced at Kikerinsky plant of LSR Group.
