Landmarks of history

LSR Group was founded in 1993 in St. Petersburg. Over time, it expanded from a regional company to a federal scale market leader.

1993-1996

  • OJSC “Stroydetal” was acquired (in the photo). The company included factories producing carpentry products, concrete, reinforced concrete products and metal constructions.
  • JSC "Construction Corporation Vozrozhdenie Sank-peterburga” was founded in 1994, which prioritized the construction of facilities in the central part of St. Petersburg. For the same purpose, JSC “Lenstroirekonstruktsiya”, the main developer of the city center in Soviet times, was acquired in 1996. LSR Group had been developing for almost ten years under the name of “Lenstroirekonstruktsiya”.

1999

  • To develop sand extraction from flooded quarries, LSR Group acquired CJSC “Lengidromech”, which specializes in hydro-mechanized constriction works.
  • The Group became the largest brick manufacturer in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region with an acquisition of CJSC SPA “Keramika”.

2001

  • Rapid growing holding formulated the general directions of the company's strategic development and defined the key segments of its construction activities - development, building materials, non-metallic materials, and construction services. The company adopted a programme of phased modernization of the Group's industrial enterprises and developed a management policy. The company also made a decision to enter the development market in Moscow, therefore founding CJSC “Mosstroyreconstruction”.

2003

  • LSR Group made a decision to enter the market of mechanized services. For this purpose, CJSC “UM-260”, a leading tower crane operation company, was acquired.
  • OJSC “Leningrad River Port”, OJSC “St. Petersburg River Port” and CJSC “Sea Sand” were purchased from North-Western Shipping Company. The companies represent a unique hydro-technical complex for extracting sea sand in the Gulf of Finland water area. This complex includes a specialized fleet and shore service infrastructure. This acquisition, along with the development of onshore quarries, enabled LSR Group to clearly surpass its competitors in the market of sea sand extraction for construction purposes.
  • LSR Group started to develop its ready-mix concrete business. For this purpose, the company modernized capacities of one of the reinforced concrete plants and built two new concrete mixing units. In addition, it acquired one of the leading companies in this area at that time, JSC “Building Structures Plant No. 19”.

2005

  • LSR Group entered the debt capital market. The first bond issue amounted to RUB 1 bln was successfully placed in Moscow. The company started preparing financial statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • LSR Group's subsidiary JSC “Construction Corporation Vozrozhdenie St. Petersburga” launched a large-scale development project - first fashionable residential complex “Paradniy Kvartal” in the city center (in the photo).
  • LSR Group decided to develop its commercial real estate development business and began to manage its business centers independently.
  • LSR Group completed the construction and out into operation one of the largest aerated concrete plant in Russia.

2009

  • CJSC “Mosstroirekonstruktsiya”, an enterprise of LSR Group, became a subcontractor for the construction of six houses with a total area of 140 th. sqm in Balashikha, Moscow.

2010

  • During SPO LSR Group sold 9,366,383 ordinary shares in the form of GDRs.

2012

  • “LSR. Wall materials” brick plants were launched in Pavlovsky Posad (the Moscow Region), and the Kirovsky District (the Leningrad Region).

2014

  • LSR Group donated the monument "Russian Guard of the Great War" to St. Petersburg.
  • LSR Group won the contest for the redevelopment of industrial areas of I.A. Likhachov Plant (ZiL) in Moscow. The project entails the construction of 1.57 mln sqm of a realestate. .

2015

  • LSR Group has been included in the list of strategically important Russian companies in the «residential construction» category.
  • The company started the construction of “ZILART” residential complex on the former territory of the ZIL plant.
  • The company started the construction of a premium-class project "Rysskiy Dom" in the center of St. Petersburg (in the photo).

2017

  • The company started construction of the residential complex “Meridian” in Yekaterinburg that includes 16 houses on the border between Akademichesky and Michurinsky microdistricts.
  • LSR Group has obtained the rights to raise the height and subsequent development of the southern part of Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg as part of the integrated development of the territory. Business class project “Morskaya Naberezhnaya” will be built on an elevated area of 34 hectares.
  • LSR Group launched an elite residential complex “NEVA HAUS” on Petrovsky Island in St. Petersburg.
  • LSR Group started the construction of residential complex Tsvetnoy Bulvar in Yekaterinburg. Total area of the complex is 120 th. sqm.
  • The company built the first House of Accompanied Living for people with specific health conditions in St. Petersburg.

2019

  • LSR Group joined the United Nations Global Compact.
  • LSR Group’s park “Tyufeleva Roshcha” in Moscow and elite residential complex “Russkiy Dom” in St. Petersburg won the 2019 International Architecture Awards.
  • LSR Group launched a new aerated concrete production line in the Leningrad region.
  • LSR Group CEO Andrey Molchanov was awarded with the Medal of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland, First Class.
  • LSR Group acquired the H+H aerated concrete plant (in the photo).
  • The second House of Accompanied Living was put into operation in St. Petersburg.

2021

  • LSR Group and the State Museum of Architecture signed a cooperation agreement to renovate the Melnikov House, a monument of the Russian avant-garde.
  • LSR Group entered an elite residential market of Moscow acquiring 0.9 ha on Soymonovsky Drive (a prestige location opposite the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour) to develop a project Le Dome.
  • Andrey Molchanov, CEO of LSR Group, became the best top manager in the construction industry according to the authoritative publication “Kommersant”.
  • LSR Group launched comfort-class residential complex “Morskaya Milya” in the southeast of St. Petersburg.
  • LSR Group entered the townhouse market, developing a standard design for a single-storey house that uses materials from the Group’s reinforced concrete plant in Yekaterinburg.
  • As part of the development of the health resort business, the company acquired a sanatorium “Sestroretsky Kurort” in St. Petersburg as well as the “Kristall” recreation center and “Volna” health resort in Sochi.
  • LSR Group launched “Zelyony Ostrov” and “Malachite” residential complexes in Yekaterinburg.
  • LSR Group won the auction for the sale of the "Liviz" plant in St. Petersburg, one of the oldest distillery enterprises.
  • The company won an auction for the acquisition of a historic building at 14/2 Zubovskaya Street in Moscow. The building was formerly owned by Brigadier Koshelev, and at various times it was used as the Usachevsko-Chernyavskoye women’s school and a dormitory of the Frunze Military Academy.
  • The company launched the business-class residential complex “WAVE” on Borisovskiye Prudy Street in Moscow.

2023

  • LSR Group received a permit for the construction of the residential complex “Obrucheva 30” in the south-west of Moscow.
  • The company launched an integrated development project of non-residential territory, which is a first for Yekaterinburg. On the site of the former Danone dairy plant, the company will build residential complex "Azina, 16".
  • LSR Group completed the construction of houses for fire victims from Sosva settlement.
  • The Ryabovsky brick plant owned by LSR. Wall materials launched a production of the ceramic clinker facade tiles.

1997-1998

  • A brick company with a strategically important clay deposit, JSC “Lenstroykeramika”, was acquired.
  • The Group developed a residential quarter in the historical center of St. Petersburg on the site of the city dairy plant No. 3. This was the first redevelopment experience in the country.
  • The company acquired OJSC “Rudas” - an enterprise for extraction of quarry and sea sand.
  • The first elite house in St. Petersburg built from scratch at 85/9 Griboedova Canal Embankment (in the photo).

2000

  • OJSC “Granit-Kuznechnoye”, the largest crushed granite production facility in the North-West Russia, became a part of LSR Group. It has colossal reserves of high-quality raw materials, while its convenient geographical location makes it possible to ship products by water transport.

2002

  • The process of forming the holding's management company, LSR Group, has been completed. The name was chosen to preserve the spirit of continuity and respect for the predecessor company – LenStroyRekonstruktsiya.
  • LSR Group acquired CJSC “Construction Plant “Blok”” (in the photo). The company took a leading position in the market of large-panel housing construction.

2004

  • CJSC “Pobeda” (known in the past as the Zakharovs' brick factory and leading its history since 1882) was acquired from Knauf. This transaction allowed LSR Group to concentrate about 70% of the brick market in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
  • LSR Group acquired two enterprises producing crushed granite - JSC "458 Nonmetallic Minerals Combine" and CJSC "Karier", which increased the volume of crushed granite production by 1 million cubic meters per year. Later both plants were merged with the JSC “Granit-Kuznechnoye”.

2006

  • LSR Group finalized the formation of Russia’s largest construction holding: the company was reorganized into an open joint-stock company.

2007

  • LSR Group entered the development market in Ekaterinburg by acquiring 100% stake in the authorized capital of LLC “Investproekt”.
  • The company successfully completed an IPO, placing its own shares on the London Stock Exchange, RTS and MICEX.

2008

  • A subsidiary of LSR Group acquired OJSC “Obukhov Porous Products Plant”, the largest aerated concrete producer in Ukraine, and opened a new aerated concrete plant in Berezan, Kiev region.
  • LSR Group acquired several enterprises in Yekaterinburg: the largest developer in the real estate market CJSC “Nova-Story”, the contracting construction organization LLC “SMU NOVA-Story”, the design office LLC “PKU Nova-StroyProject” and the market leader in construction and building materials production - OJSC “Betfor” Reinforced Concrete Products Plant”.

2011

  • LSR Group signed a contract for the construction of the residential complex New Domodedovo in the Moscow region with a total area of approximately 335 th. sqm.
  • LSR Group acquired one of the largest face brick factories in the Moscow region – OJSC “Pavlovskaya Ceramica” (leading its history since 1889).
  • LSR Group launched a business class residential complex “Donskoy Olimp” in the Danilovsky district of Moscow.

2013

  • LSR Group completed the modernization of the DSK “Blok” in St. Petersburg, the largest industrial construction complex in the North-West region, and increased its capacity to 500 th. sqm of ready housing per year.
  • The company commissioned a facility at Nevsky Prospekt, 68, which was reconstructed according to historical drawings of the 19th century.
  • LSR Group became the largest producer of clinker bricks in Russia. A new high-tech line was launched at the brick plant in Nikolskoye (the Leningrad Region).
  • The company started to develop a large-scale land plot of about 600 hectares in the north of St. Petersburg (the territory of the former state farm "Ruchiy"). About 4 mln sqm of housing and related infrastructure will be built there as part of the “Novaya Okhta”, “Novaya Okhta on the River”, “Ruchiy” and “Tsvetnoy Gorod” projects.
  • LSR Group became the largest brick manufacturer in Russia as the Riabovsky Brick Plant joined the holding company. The total production capacity of the Group's brick plants reached 450 mln pieces of conventional bricks per year.
  • LSR Group started construction of one of the largest low-rise residential quarter in the Urals region “Michurinskiy”, with a total area of about 232 th. sqm (in the photo).

2016

  • LSR Group started sales of apartments in its new residential project «Luchi» in Moscow.
  • LSR Group launched a project for reconstruction and operation of tramlines in Krasnogvardeysky District of St. Petersburg.
  • LSR Group launched its new large-scale residential project «Civilization» in St. Petersburg.

2018

  • • Sergey Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, opens the Tyufeleva Roscha Park built by LSR Group as a part of its project “ZILART”.
  • CEO of LSR Group Andrey Molchanov received the title of Honorary Citizen of the Leningrad Region.

2020

  • The company launched its first skyscraper, “ZILART TOWER”, which is a part of its business-class project “ZILART” in Moscow.
  • The company entered the resort and sanatorium real estate market by acquiring the oldest Soviet-era hotel “Primorskaya” in Sochi.
  • “ZILART” is the best residential complex in the country. The project became the winner of the All-Russian competition in the field of housing construction "Top Residential Complex".
  • LSR Group secured the right to raise the ground level and develop 162 hectares of land in the northern part of the Vasilyevsky Island in St. Petersburg.

2022

  • The first House of Accompanied Living was built In Vsevolozhsky District of the Leningrad Region. The company also signed a social cooperation agreement with the regional government.
  • A new Supported Living Center for people with disabilities opened in the residential complex “Tsvetnoy Gorod” in St. Petersburg.
  • LSR Group launched its large-scale project in the Northern part of Vasilievsky Island of St. Petersburg.
  • “Nevsky, 1” business center in St. Petersburg opened its doors after reconstruction and welcomed the first status tenants (in the photo).
  • LSR Group entered the insulation market by offsetting up a production of LSR.TERMO aerated concrete - the lightest aerated concrete produced in the North-West.
  • LSR Group has returned to the real estate market of the Leningrad region, launching a residential complex “Rzhevsky Park” in the Vsevolozhsky district.
