LSR Group Launches New Aerated Concrete Production Line in the Leningrad Region

Ahead of the Construction Workers' Day, LSR Group launched a new aerated concrete production line at its plant in Sertolovo, the Leningrad region. This will increase the capacity of the plant from 180,000 to 560,000 cubic meters per year, thus, making the Company the largest aerated concrete manufacturer in the Northwestern District of Russia.

The official ceremony marking the launch of the new line was attended by Aleksandr Drozdenko, Governor of the Leningrad region, Andrey Molchanov, CEO of LSR Group, the honorary citizen of the Leningrad region, and Sergey Bebenin, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad region.

In his address to LSR Group employees and public officials, Aleksandr Drozdenko said: "We are glad that new much-needed enterprises continue to open in our region. We expect the volume of output of this facility will meet the demand of Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad region for materials to construct private and low-rise buildings. I hope that the quality of Sertolovo aerated concrete will be on a par with the quality of other LSR Group's products. We have a long history of reliable partnership with this Company. Quite a number of projects have been implemented in the region as a result of our collaboration, and I believe that many other projects are yet to come."

Andrey Molchanov added: "LSR Group has moved its aerated concrete production facilities from Saint Petersburg to the Leningrad region. Today, 230 people are already working at the Sertolovo Aerated Concrete Plant and most of them are citizens of the Leningrad region. This means that LSR Group is not only a major taxpayer in the Leningrad region, but also one of the main employers. We will continue promoting the welfare of the region and its citizens."

The Sertolovo Aerated Concrete Plant is part of LSR Wall Materials, a subsidiary of LSR Group, manufacturing ceramic and aerated concrete products. Previously, the Group’s aerated concrete production facility was located on the Oktyabrskaya Naberezhnaya in Saint Petersburg. In 2017-2018, a gradual relocation and modernization of the site in Sertolovo took place. As a result of the efficient planning and management, the works were completed in a short time. The new line at the Sertolovo Aerated Concrete Plant is a modern and fully automated production line. Its annual production capacity can be as high as 380,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete. There is also another line operating on the site, which was previously owned by 211 KZhBI enterprise and acquired by LSR Group at an open auction in 2016. It has a production capacity of 180,000 cubic meters, bringing the total annual production capacity of the Sertolovo Aerated Concrete Plant to 560,000 cubic meters.
