CEO of LSR became Honorary Citizen of the Leningrad Region

On August 4, Vyborg hosted thousands of guests who came to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the formation of the Leningrad region. As is tradition, the day's festivities included the presentation of awards to residents of the region who have contributed the most to its development and prosperity. This year, CEO of LSR Group Andrey Molchanov was awarded with the title of Honorary Citizen of the Leningrad region.
Congratulatory speeches were made by eminent guests on stage in Vyborg's main square, Red Square. Among them were parliamentarians led by Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Leningrad Oblast Sergey Bebenin, Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Vladimir Kirillov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg Vyacheslav Makarov, and, of course, Regional Governor Alexander Drozdenko. The governor congratulated all those present on the event of the 91st anniversary of the region and 725th anniversary of Vyborg, and also presented a badge and diploma to the new Honorary Citizen of the Leningrad region, Andrey Molchanov.
"To receive the title of Honorary Citizen on the anniversary of the formation of the Leningrad region is a special honor," Mr. Molchanov said. "I regard this not as a personal award, but as recognition of the merits of LSR Group as a whole. I promise that we will go on working for the benefit of citizens of the region and continue to honor to its name."
The title Honorary Citizen of the Leningrad region was awarded to Andrey Molchanov "for significant contribution to the social and economic development of the region, strengthening the political, economic and humanitarian ties between the region and other areas within Russia and abroad."
The region's administration noted that LSR Group contributed as lot to the state programs targeting the least socially affluent citizens. Also, most of the building materials production facilities of LSR Group are located in the region.
