Results of PlatForm open youth contest for public transport stop at the territory of Tsvetnoy Gorod residential complex (LSR Group project at Krasnogvardeysky District, Saint Petersburg) were announced on November 29.
The open youth contest organized by LSR Group and Project Baltia magazine offered participants to think over an eye-catching and unique design of stops and possible nonstandard approaches to functional solutions of environment elements of new residential area called Tsvetnoy Gorod. Projects of winners shall help to set stops at the territory of Tsvetnoy Gorod residential complex. LSR Group shall make a decision related to implementation of the project depending on how a new stop corresponds to the environment.
251 applications were submitted since October 13. Participants from various places of Russia as well as from CIS and other countries took part in the contest. 99 projects of participants from various places were accepted, particularly from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Simferopol, Irkutsk, Rostov-on-Don, Novosibirsk, Belgorod, Nozhnevarovsk, Vladikavkaz, Perm, as well as from foreign countries, for example, Austria, Argentina, Netherlands, Ukraine, Kosovo, Georgia, Belarus, Japan, Iran, Togo, Lithuania, Brazil, Lebanon, Germany, Finland, Mexico, Norway, Slovakia, France, Spain. Members of the judging panel chose 10 projects to present at the exhibition located on the second floor of Alexandrinsky Theatre (new stage). According to their opinion project from the short list correspond best to several criteria, particularly implementability, functionality, design brightness and innovativenes .
Meeting of the judging panel took place at the contest short list exhibition located at the new stage of Alexandrinsky Theatre till November 30.
As a result of complex examination of projects and expert analysis judges ranked winners as follows:
• 1 prize: Among the stars. Authors: Karolina Olechnovič, Justas Jankauskas, Akvilė Miniotaitė, Haroldas Jūrevičius (Lithuania)
• 2 prize: Passepartout. Authors: Suvi Saastamoinen, Simo Lahtinen (Finland)
• 3 prize: Rhythmic rise. Authors: Masaki Kakizoe, Kevin Clement (Japan)
The following projects were awarded with special “Honorary judges notice”:
• A room for lost time (Nahuel Recabarren, ARgentina)
• Cult Stop (Anton Sevastyanov, Russia, Moscow)
Moreover the following projects were awarded with “Audience Choice Award” following voting of exhibition audience and Internet voting:
• Worship of reality (Anastasia Ivanova, Artem Stepanov, Russia, Saint Petersburg) (audience voting)
• Passepartout (Internet voting)
