LSR Group to build education centre for 975 children in Michurinsky residential neighbourhood

In July 2015, LSR Group was awarded a contract to design and build an innovative education centre combining a school and a kindergarten. The contracts worth RUB 744.7 mln were signed with the Department of Capital Construction of the Sverdlovsk Region. The design phase of the project is to be completed in August 2015. It is planned to commission the centre in June 2017.

Construction of the education centre is carried out as a part of the governmental programme aimed at modernisation of preschool and secondary education.

The centre will comprise:
- preschool education unit for 150 children (6 groups);
- comprehensive school unit for 825 students (12 classrooms for 300 students of primary school, 15 classrooms for compulsory education for 375 students, and 6 classrooms for 150 senior high school students).

The centre will also include three gym halls of various sizes, an assembly hall, as well as a food unit with a canteen. Premises will be linked through wide lounges and broad halls. Preschool and comprehensive school units will operate autonomously and share administrative and housekeeping facilities.

It is planned to build a sports center, including a football field and a race track, playgrounds for basketball and volleyball, children’s playgrounds, a landscaped promenade area and a 3-4-storey building on the site with a total area of 3.18 ha, adjoining the first phase of Michurinsky residential development.

The zoning of the territory, the way the education centre is organised with the combined education units, shared administrative and housekeeping facilities and utilities will allow the customer to reduce construction costs as well as the number of employees and operation costs.

The buildings will be made of reinforced concrete items produced by LSR Group (piers, bearers, ceiling panels, external wall panels). The seamless technology will be utilised for the façades decreasing the heat loss by up to 30%. This technology is successfully used for construction of our projects in Yekaterinburg, Moscow and Saint Petersburg.
