LSR Group and the State Hermitage Museum signed a letter on intent for creation the museum centre Hermitage – Moscow in Moscow city

On March 11, 2015 General Director of the State Hermitage Museum and Chairman of the Board of Directors LSR Group Andrey Molchanov signed the letter of intent (LOI) for creation of the museum centre Hermitage – Moscow (“Hermitage 20/21”) at ZIL project, Moscow.

This LOI was signed the mutual intention of assisting in every promotion of knowledge on culture and art, especially on modern art, in the Russian Federation, as well as taking into account the State Hermitage Museum interest in employing scientific and educational potential of collections, scientific researches, traditions and experience of the museum in a more complete way. Exhibitions and other cultural events  of the State Hermitage Museum will be held at this Museum centre which will be located in the territory of the former automobile plant ZIL in Moscow. Displays of contemporary art shall be a priority for the Hermitage and shall become a part of the existing global project “Hermitage 20/21”, and the development of the concept of “The Great Hermitage”.

At all stages of the project the Hermitage shall provide advisory and organizational services on the development of the general concept of the museum centre Hermitage − Moscow (“Hermitage 20/21”) and its web site, on the organization of various cultural and educational activities, cooperation with museums, funds, and other organizations employing significant collections of art works, as well as help in the organization of information support. According to the general principles of organization of companion centres of the Hermitage, LSR Group provides  infrastructure performance and logistic support  for the centre, and the State Hermitage is responsible for the content and grants the right to use its name.
