Re-certification not far off

02 May 2006

From April 18 to 20, courses were held at the Gatchinsky DSK for raising the qualifications of specialists in the combine’s subdivisions on the theme of: “A quality management system in building organizations that meets the ISO 9000:2000 standards”.

The courses were conducted by a representative of the Moscow TsNIO Consultative Centre — Project, Igor Valentinovitch Nagaiko, who is an auditor for the TUV CERT and DNV quality management systems.

In the process of training, the following themes were covered: the development stages of a quality system, the principles of introducing this system, the standards system and the ISO review, quality system documentation, internal auditing and some others.

“For three days, those attending the courses were fully involved in the seminar studies,” said Nadyezhda Serova, deputy head of the quality service. “Apart from the lectures, they had various tests, and they dealt with specific situations as they related to our own enterprise. There was also a lot of homework. All twenty four passed the exam at the end of the course and received a certificate from the TsNIO Consultative Centre — Project. In March, courses were held for the management and the leading specialists at the combine.”

The results of the exam confirmed understanding of the basic principles of the quality system on the basis of ISO 9000:2000 standards. These courses were held with the aim of developing a quality management system that would function at the ZAO Gatchinsky DSK, since the combine is preparing for a renewal of certification, which will take place in June this year.
