Panel House to Live Longer
15 September 2006
The new production site is a welding facility for manufacturing of space frames. Installation of the facility would enable the company to manufacture frames for thin-wall 120 mm reinforced concrete products, which are necessary for one-layer external wall panels.
These products serve for installation of panel buildings in Block DSK and as basis for the ‘seamless' faзade erection technology. The space frames in external walls of a panel building enables to enhance their carrying capacity and to extend the life cycle of the building.
The site capacity is some 150 space frames a day, or almost six assembled floors of a panel building. Space frames used to be assembled manually; productivity came to some 20 pieces per day.
The new production facility is an autonomous system. The documents were drafted by specialists of the housing construction company. As part of production work to create the site, equipment for air supply and cooling systems was installed; electric installation work was performed; technological metal structures were manufactured and installed; a coffer was installed.
Launch of the production facilities would enable the enterprise to separate production of frames by thickness, thus increasing productivity, shortening the process of mold preparation for subsequent shaping of products and cutting down production costs. Also, installation of the production facility would enable to shape the necessary reserve of space frames.
Block House Building Factory ZAO is the leader on the St. Petersburg and North Western panel housing construction market in production of quality reinforced concrete products and construction of residential panel buildings. Established in 1992, Block DSK is the only company on the St. Petersburg panel housing construction market that makes use of the seamless faзade erection technology. In 2004, the company assembled 90,000 sq.m. of residential premises, and in 2005, 135,600 sq.m. of residential premises. The 2006 plan is to assemble more than 200,000 sq.m.
