Five years under the MC ISO 9000 flag
14 July 2006
As we wrote earlier, in March and April this year qualification-improvement seminar-courses were held at the ZAO Gatchinsky DSK on the theme of: “A quality management system in building organizations that meets the ISO 9000:2000 standards”. These courses were held not only for the management and the top specialists, but also for the middle ranks of the engineering and technical staff. Their purpose was to develop a quality management system for our combine, which is not surprising. Management policy in respect of quality is aimed at satisfying the demands of the customer. It relates to turnkey residential projects completed in the shortest possible time that offer a variety of apartment layouts and a choice of fixtures and finishings. The combine, which introduced the ISO 9001:1994 quality system in 2001 and underwent re-certification under the new, improved version in 2003, has been making serious preparations for the repeat certified examination planned for the end of June.
From June 20 to 23, an international certification audit was held at the ZAO Gatchinsky DSK to check that the quality management system was in line with the requirements of the international ISO 9001:2000 standard. The examination was carried out by the German certification body, TUV CERT TUV Thuringen e.V.
“In the course of the audit,” said Nadyezhda Serova, deputy head of the quality service, “it was established that the quality management system at ZAO Gatchinsky DSK is functioning according to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000. The successful work done by the internal auditors at the combine was particularly noticed, as was the good practice of organizing work according to an analysis of expenditure on quality, and the results of the certification audit revealed not a single deviation from this. Every subdivision showed a proficient approach and competence in all matters relating to the quality management system.”
Nadyezhda Alexandrovna went on to say that the audit at the Gatchinsky Residential-Building Combine was carried out in practically every subdivision of the company and on the building sites. For example, St. Petersburg (north of Novosyolov Street), korpus 32A and korpus 32B, where building work was being carried out by crews from BID (Building and Installation Department) 1 (headed by Nikolai Fyodorovitch Tsyrulik) and BID 2 (headed by Alexei Vasilievitch Kosov). Then the auditors went to Pulkovskoye Shosse, korpus 13 and korpus 14, which were being decorated by crews from the Specialized Decorating Department (headed by Alexander Vasilievitch Shemyakin).
And so the certification audit is now over and the auditors have published their recommendations to issue a repeat certificate which will act as a guarantee of the quality of products produced by ZAO Gatchinsky DSK. This is a weighty argument for improving and strengthening the image of the combine on the building market.
