BOSCH president visits the combine

10 May 2006

At the end of April, Herr Uwe Raschke, the president of the German company, BOSCH, which produces power tools, paid a visit to the Gatchinsky Combine

According to Yevgeniya Mityanina, the general director of the dealer company, Violan SPb, with which the Gatchinsky combine has cooperated for a number of years, Herr Raschke was in Russia for the first time. He first went to Moscow to Robert Bosch, his own company’s representation, which was involved with the customs registration of power tools and their storage. The management of Bosch wanted to acquaint itself personally with the work of the official dealers who are involved with the sales and supply of power tools directly to the building companies. After that, Herr Raschke left for St. Petersburg, where in the course of a day’s visit, he went round a number of production enterprises together with the management of the LSR Group. The aim of this visit was to get acquainted with the building industry in St. Petersburg and the North-West Region.

The next stop for the Bosch president was the Gatchinsky House-Building Combine. The VIP guests were met by the management of the combine, specialists from the subdivisions and a representative of the Violan SPb dealership.

“We are pleased to welcome you to our combine. May cooperation and friendship between us develop and strengthen in the future.” These were the words with which Yevgeni Germanovitch Rozanov, the commercial director of the enterprise, greeted the guests.

Within the framework of their visit to the Gatchinsky DSK, Herr Raschke and the other guests went round Unit № 3, which is headed by Andrei Viktorovitch Zharkin, and met workers from the Unit, who are the end users of the power tools. The guests were particularly interested in the way these instruments were used in real conditions on a particular production line as well as the current system by which the enterprise was supplied including: the criteria for selecting equipment and the system for controlling its exploitation. While speaking with the workers at the unit, Herr Uwe Raschke paid particular attention to their experience with using the BOSCH power tools and said the company took a personal interest in claims for defective tools, if there were any. He was also interested in the range of Bosch power tools used at the combine and wanted to find out if the workers had used power tools manufactured by any other companies. Having listened to all the wishes and proposals for developing and improving the professional power tools, Uwe Raschke promised to go through them all and take account of them in the company’s plans. At the end of the meeting, he expressed satisfaction with his visit to the Gatchinsky Combine and remarked on the high level of professionalism among both the combine management and the workforce employed at this factory.

The noise from the workers in the unit, the laughter and the flashes from the cameras did nothing to detract from the general cheerful atmosphere. The meeting ended with a photograph of everyone being taken to remember the occasion.
