About Us

The LSR GROUP carries out charity programs with the purpose of helping those in need as well as the revival and preservation of the country’s cultural heritage.

The LSR GROUP regards charity costs as an investment in human capital, the improvement of the social environment and the quality of life in the key regions of the company’s activity: Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Oblast, Moscow and the Moscow Oblast, and Yekaterinburg.

The policy of the LSR GROUP’s charity work is based on the following principles:

  • targeting;
  • effectiveness;
  • systematic approach.

The key priorities of the charity policy at the LSR GROUP are as follows:

  • childcare;
  • supporting those who lack social protection;
  • contributing to the social development in the regions of company’s operation;
  • revival and preservation of the country’s cultural heritage.

The main charity projects of the LSR GROUP are described below.

Supporting the "Deti Zhdut" ("Children are Waiting") charitable foundation

Since 2010, the LSR GROUP has worked alongside the «Deti Zhdut» charitable foundation on a program aimed at assisting with the adoption of orphans. A part of this program is the web portal Детиждут. рф where one can find information about children from the Northwestern District of Russia who are currently living in orphanages and infant homes. Since the project’s launch, 3,522 children have found new families.

The second joint project of the LSR GROUP and "Deti Zhdut"—"Mama Ryadom" ("Mother is Nearby")—is aimed at supporting young mothers with small children who have found themselves in difficult life situations. The LSR GROUP helps young women find temporary accommodation in public housing apartments. In this «home for mothers,» women can get help from counselors and social care educators or consult a lawyer. Since the start of this project, 41 mothers and 42 children have received help.

Another project supported by the company—"Sestrinskiy Ukhod" ("Sisterly Care")—is focused on providing comprehensive support to the services attending to children with no legal caretaker, in various health care centers of Saint Petersburg. As part of this project, the company is working in 7 city hospitals. 1,174 children received care from nurses in 2018.

In May 2018, the LSR GROUP assisted in establishing Russia’s first Family Adaptation Center. The Center’s mission is to prepare and provide comprehensive support to families who have adopted an orphan child, as well as to prevent critical situations which may lead to the abandonment of adopted children. The Center’s capacity allows it to assist 250 candidate families for adoption and to give comprehensive support to 400 adoptive families per year.

Children's creative center "Arteria"

In order to help children with disabilities socialize and meet new friends, in 2013 the LSR GROUP assisted in opening the children’s creative Center "Arteria" ("Artery"). The Center is attended equally by children with disabilities as by other children. Around 130 children are already taking part in drawing classes, English classes, literature and theater groups, as well as other creative lessons in «Arteria.»

Children’s creative center "Razvitiye" ("Development")

In May 2017, the charitable children’s creative center "Razvitiye" was established and opened in "Flagman" a residential complex of the LSR GROUP. The Center focuses its efforts on helping children become aware of their talents and abilities, providing them with psychological and pedagogical assistance and helping with professional self-determination. Today, "Razvitiye" is fully equipped with the latest technology, and the staff includes creative development teachers, a speech therapist, a counselor, and a neuropsychologist. The Center is offering socialization assistance to over 320 children and teenagers with learning difficulties, as well as children from families with multiple children.

Children’s creative center "Dobrotorium"

The children’s creative center "Dobrotorium" opened its doors in Odintsovo in May 2016. Among the Center’s visitors are children with disabilities along with those who simply need some care and company. Young students are free to take up painting, drawing, composition, sculpture, history of art, poetry club, robotic science, modeling, creative and theater classes, and much more.

Russian State Specialist Institute of Arts

Since 2018, the LSR GROUP has worked in partnership with Russian State Specialist Institute of Arts (RSSIA)—the only institute in the world which allows people with disabilities to get a full degree in the arts. This has been a logical step within the development of the corporate social responsibility program, one of its goals being to support the most disadvantaged groups of people, specifically, children with disabilities. Talented boys and girls with disabilities, among whom are those from inclusive child care centers working with the assistance of LSR GROUP, get an opportunity to earn a degree and become post-graduate students in music, painting, or theater. The students and graduates of RSSIA are winners of multiple national and international competitions and creative contests for students.

Collaboration with the non-governmental charitable foundation "Roditelsky Most" ("Parental Bridge")

Since 2004, the specialists from the "Roditelsky Most" foundation, with the assistance of LSR GROUP, have been implementing a jointly developed program aimed at supporting families who seek to adopt orphan children. The program is called "Angels with Broken Wings." The LSR GROUP provides financial support to adopted children and those in foster care and also funds the work of psychologists and social care teachers who assist families with adopted children. 152 children have already found new parents as a result of the «Angels with Broken Wings» program.

"GAOORDI" — Association of Non-Governmental Organizations of Parents to Children with Disabilities in Saint Petersburg

Since 2012, the LSR GROUP has supported a range of programs initiated by "GAOORDI" aimed at helping people with disabilities become independent in an open society. Over the course of several years, operational help is being provided to a day care group for people with disabilities, where they get a chance to grow personally, to communicate with others, and to learn. Another program—"Helping Children of the Leningrad Oblast"—is aimed at supporting the medical treatment and rehabilitation of children. In 2017, the LSR GROUP gifted a social facility: an assisted living home for people with disabilities.

Aiding in the development of regions where the company operates

Along with the contribution that companies within the LSR GROUP are making as employers and taxpayers, they are actively involved in solving important issues in the areas where they operate. The companies contribute financially to social and charity programs and take part in land improvements, construction, and reconstruction of important social objects.
